Trade flows, measured as they move.
A working demonstration of the analytical systems we build: a live map of simulated sea and air freight, with chokepoint transits, port and hub activity, and cargo flows computed from the traffic itself.
Two networks, one analytical engine.
The sea view follows a fleet of around fifteen hundred vessels on real sea lanes between real ports. It counts transits through twelve maritime chokepoints by direction, measures time at berth and waiting time at anchor at the busiest ports, and tracks the LNG fleet, laden and in ballast.
The air view follows around nine hundred freighters on great circle routes between real airports. It shows express hubs filling and emptying through their overnight sorts, counts crossings of the oceanic and continental corridors, routes traffic around closed airspace, and estimates the tonnes moving on each lane between regions.
Data engineering
Position reports are ingested, validated, and stored at several hundred messages per second, with history retained and pruned on a schedule. The maritime pipeline accepts a live AIS feed in place of the simulation without any change to the analytics above it.
Event detection
Transits are recognised from entry and exit with their direction, port calls from position and speed, and holding patterns from the geometry of an aircraft's track. Each event is derived from the reports alone, as it would be from a live feed.
Baselines and anomalies
Every chokepoint and corridor is compared against its own seven day baseline, so a change in traffic reads as normal, elevated, or depressed rather than as a raw count.
Simulation
A simulated network lets the analytics be built, tested, and demonstrated before any data is licensed, with fictional fleets following the schedules and constraints of the real one.
The monitor runs on simulated traffic. Vessels, aircraft, and operators are fictional; routes, ports, airports, and chokepoints are real. It runs as a time-lapse and every figure is stated in simulated time. It is not a source of market data and is not for navigation or trading decisions.
